Events coming up to keep in mind:
The Klondike Derby is this weekend! Even though it has not been a usual winter, it will still be cold! Make sure to pack up on warm clothing and always dress in layers. The Permission slip can be found here:

Event Itinerary

Event Description Klondike Derby Patrol Competition

Assembly Time Church Parking Lot at 7:00 am

Returning Time Scouts will be returned home between 2 and 3 pm

Cost Bring $8 (cash only) to the Scout meeting on Tuesday January 9.

No fee for adults

Drivers who are picking up Scouts for return trip should be at the Reservation by 1:30

Troop Holiday Party

Remember Scouts, tonight is the annual Troop 63 Holiday Party!

It has been requested that any Scout who attend bring food as well.

Here is the breakdown:

Scouts with a last name that begins with A - L please bring a drink or beverage to the party.

Scouts with last names that start in M - Z please bring a dessert or snack to the party.

Also, on another note, a Secret Santa is also being held. Anyone interested can bring a preferably Scout related gift in the price range of $5 to the meeting in exchange for another.

Scouting for Food a Success Among Other Events!

First ans foremost, Mrs. Gilroy would like to extend her thanks to anyone, from any troop and organization, who participated in the Scouting for Food on Saturday, November 18. While the number specifically for Troop 63 could not be calculated, our contribution was recognized.

However, there were over 5500 bags stapled, that is over 10000 staples!

Our troop alone with 8 dedicated drivers as well as 16 scouts, collected 500 bags!

On another note, the upcoming camping trip to Winnebago in Rockaway is the weekend of December 8-10. Permission slip available soon! It's going to be cold, so it'll be a cabin trip.
